What We Buy
What Cars Does South OC Autos Buy?
South OC Autos, a licensed California dealer (#94258), buys cars, trucks, SUVs, EVs, hybrids and work vans from private sellers anywhere in Orange County, including Anaheim. The vehicle needs a clean title in your name, and we mainly buy vehicles worth $5,000 and up. Most years and most conditions are fine, and high mileage is fine.
Vehicles We Buy
Not sure whether yours fits? Send the year, make, model and mileage and we’ll tell you straight either way.

Cars and sedans
Daily drivers, commuters, luxury sedans and older cars that still run. Mileage affects the number, not whether we’ll look at it.

Trucks and SUVs
Half-tons, three-quarter tons, full-size SUVs and crossovers. Work trucks with real miles on them are welcome.

EVs and hybrids
Teslas and other EVs, plug-in hybrids and standard hybrids. Tell us what you know about the battery and any remaining warranty.

Work vans
Sprinters, Transit Connects, cargo vans and shuttle vans. Upfits, shelving and wraps are fine. Tell us what’s in it.
What We Need To Buy It
- A clean title, in your name. Not a parent’s, not a friend’s, not a business you’ve dissolved.
- Your driver’s license and current registration at the meeting.
- You’re in Orange County, since we come to you. Drop-off is also an option.
- If there’s a loan on it, your lender’s name and account number. We pay them directly (how that works).
If two names are on the title, check whether they’re joined by “and” or “or.” That decides who has to sign. The FAQ covers it.
What We Can’t Buy
- Branded titles: salvage, rebuilt, junk or lemon law buyback. We buy clean titles only.
- Vehicles where the title isn’t in your name. That has to be sorted out at the DMV first.
If you’re not sure which category you’re in, ask. It costs nothing to find out and we’d rather tell you straight than waste your afternoon.
We also don’t sell vehicles to the public. We hold a wholesale license and only buy from private sellers. More about our license.
How We Decide What To Offer
Year, make, model, mileage and condition, plus what that exact vehicle is doing at dealer auction right now. Service history, tires, brakes, cosmetic damage and title status all move the number.
We don’t publish a price chart, because a number written down last month would be wrong today. Being upfront about condition is what keeps the offer from changing when we see the car in person.
There’s more in our answers to common seller questions, and you can see the whole process on how selling to us works.
